This made it to the Photo of the Week
LOL, remember the post I wrote about the summer wave pool? Click here.
This picture made it to the Photo of the Week section in Metropolis.

Yea, well, let me do a little analysis on this picture for the sake of entertainment. This is a picture is more than just a picture of an overpopulated pool. It’s an analogy of an overpopulated world (pool) and a symbol of world destruction (pool engine stops working). The water in the pool symbolizes our resources that is depleting since everyone wants a bit of it and with the growing number of human inhabitants, it won’t be long before all the resources depletes completely from the over harvesting and dispensing (pee).
The fleeting laughters of the humans in the picture symbolizes the need of instant gratification (the excitement of waiting for the wave) without any heed of future planning (over working the wave fan). And it won’t be long before sickness and disease sets in from the putrid water (overload of pee) sets in, which will wipe the smiles off their faces forever. Armageddon (pool’s engine busted beyond repair).
But of course, they could build another pool (find another planet) so to carry the over populated world. :D

we are not running out of resources ….the world has plenty of land and water for everyone…what we are running out of is the resource called compassion..explain how you can have one country where people are dying of obesity and another where the people are dying of starvation

You must be severely misguided to think that our resources are here to stay forever. Our lands are sinking due to global warming, which melts the icecaps over at the North and South pole. Our trees are being burned and deforested as we speak, our animals are going extinct. Compassion? These obese and starving people won’t even be alive if there is no world to live in.
And I guess you can say we won’t run out of water, if you drink salt water daily.
